SO Relaxing, 450g pouch

$18.50

In the bath – We recommend using a third of the pouch per bath, but feel free to use more or less according to your needs. Pour your bath salts into running water, just before you hop in, to help it dissolve faster. Use very warm but not hot water. Aim to soak for at least 15 minutes (top up the hot if you need to!). Relax. Maybe pop a little easy listening onto Spotify to help the mood…

In the shower – Tip a little of the Epsom salt mix into your wet palm. Rub gently into your skin in a circular motion before rinsing off.

As a foot soak – Add a handful of the salts to a tub of warm water. Soak your feet for 15 minutes. Great as part of a home pedicure treatment. You can also grab a handful to use as an exfoliating foot scrub before you soothe your feet in the warm water. Remember to keep a towel close by for when you’re finished.

Our products are NZ-made, from pure, non-GMO ingredients, and are not tested on animals. They contain no added colours, fillers or flow agents.

Ingredients – Natural Epsom Salt, Pure Himalayan Pink Salt, essential oils: Lavender and Bergamot.

Natural Epsom salt is full of magnesium that we need to help our minds be calm and our bodies relax, and to support healthy sleep. The more stressed out we are, the more magnesium we need!

Himalayan pink salt contains 84 minerals and nutrients that nourish and replenish us.

Struggling to switch off your mind? Tense, tight muscles making it hard to wind down?

Would you love to be able to relax into a good night’s sleep?

Treat yourself to a 20 minute Relaxing bath.

SO:Relaxing bath soak contains lavender and bergamot essential oils to calm and soothe your mind and body and ease you into feeling rested and relaxed. These oils are also said to encourage feelings of security, optimism and confidence.

We’re confident that Granny knew best – bath salts are popular again in this age of non-stop rushing. Taking time out to look after yourself is never wasted time. If you don’t have 20 minutes for a bath, enjoy a relaxing foot soak, or even use as a mildly-exfoliating body scrub in the shower.

Soak (or scrub) away anxiety, relieve stress and tension, and prepare your mind and body for a peaceful night’s sleep.

SO:Relaxing is NZ-made from ethically-sourced ingredients. It’s vegan, cruelty-free, and suitable for all ages.

The pouch can be recycled at a Soft Plastic Recycling bin.

  • A friend who needs a bit of TLC.
  • The volunteer who’s always helping other people.
  • A new mum who has lots of gifts for baby but might enjoy something for herself.
  • The teacher who looks exhausted and it’s only week 4 of term!
  • A student who has a demanding workload.
  • Shift workers for whom a bedtime routine can help them get to sleep.
  • Anyone whose mind becomes overactive as soon as their head hits the pillow.
  • Someone who experiences cramps or restless legs in the evening.
  • Someone who experiences migraines or tension headaches.

This one is down to personal preference. We know some people who have a bath every night to help them sleep. Some people like a muscle-soothing bath after they’ve had a hard workout or sports match. Others like to have a stress-relieving bath the night before an important event to help with both sleep and stress levels. Humans do seem to thrive with routine though!

Personal preference again! Some people say if you stay in an Epsom salt bath for more than 15 minutes you will re-absorb toxins from the bath water. But, unless you’ve had the water so hot that you’ve been sweating during your bath, you won’t be immediately releasing toxins. Your body will excrete its toxins as usual, once they’ve been processed through the liver etc.

We don’t see the need to do this, unless you have sensitive skin and can feel a residue.

Your bath should be warm but not too hot. We are told between 33 and 37 degrees is good. But, to be honest, I don’t keep a thermometer by my bath! If the water is too hot, it can dry out your skin, as well as making you all red, sweaty and uncomfortable.

Any of our soaks that contain Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate). Magnesium helps with hundreds  of your body’s functions, including the removal of toxins. Sulphate can strengthen the walls of the digestive tract and make release of toxins easier.

Magnesium can boost the brain neurotransmitters that are responsible for inducing sleep and reducing stress. Magnesium is necessary for producing serotonin, your ‘feel good’ brain chemical. And it supports your adrenal glands, helping to keep your nervous system calmed rather than excitable.

A warm bath can promote sleep because it raises your core body temperature which then falls after your bath. Humans are designed to sleep better when we have a lower body temperature. So this drop in temperature when you get out of the bath is aiding your body’s natural desire for sleep at the right time!
Add a magnesium-based bath soak for even more ZZZZ-inducing benefits: Magnesium regulates melatonin, which is the hormone responsible for your sleep patterns.

Dead Sea Salt is rich in nutrients like magnesium, calcium, sulphur and zinc and can help soothe symptoms like itching and inflammation. It’s a good idea to make sure your bath is warm, not overly hot, and to bathe for only 10-15 minutes so as not to dry out your skin. Our Dead Sea Salt is pure and unscented so is suitable for sensitive skin.

    My go-to for instant relaxation!
The SO Relaxing Bath Pouch is such a treat after a long day. I’ve used it both in the bath and in the shower as a body exfoliater, and honestly, it’s amazing either way. The scent is soothing and spa-like, and it leaves my skin feeling so soft and refreshed. I love how it melts away stress while giving my skin that post-spa glow. It’s the perfect self-care essential for winding down. – Ramari R. Kuratau, Waikato
