For your post-exercise muscle-soothing we’ve chosen wintergreen, lemongrass, peppermint, clove and lavender essential oils.

Here’s why:

Wintergreen – helps to relieve muscle soreness and fatigue.

Lemongrass – has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties and can relieve aching muscles and calm an anxious mind.

    SO: how about something quick and easy that you can do at home with no special equipment? (Ok, you need a bath. But if you don’t have one of them, a foot soak will still get the good stuff into you).

    SO: Active contains Natural Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate), Organic Sodium Bicarbonate to neutralise lactic acid, and 5 essential oils used for their pain- and tension-relieving properties.

    Add half* the contents of the bottle to your bath and soak for 20 minutes. Great to do in the evening as the act of taking a warm bath also encourages sleep.

    * If you are training hard or your body needs some extra TLC, using the whole bottle in one bath is beneficial.

    In a foot soak – add a quarter of the bottle to a tub of warm water. Soak your feet for 15 minutes. Keep a towel handy (learnt the hard way!).
